Ashton “Tron” Sterk, a first-generation pilot, began flying at age 8 through EAA Young Eagles events. After earning his private pilot certificate senior year of high school, he attended the University of Central Missouri to pursue a degree in Aviation Management. At 22 years old, Ashton has graduated college and is pursuing a commercial pilot job, while practicing aerobatics in his Van’s RV-4, and hopes to perform solo in airshows in the future. When not flying, Ashton enjoys practicing cinematography and photography, and flying RC airplanes. Ashton gets his callsign “Tron” from his extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, and being the team’s go-to guy for computer problems.
